Proficiat! Just two weeks after EFiCn (Engineering Festival and Competition) 2013 held by HMTI UPH, Industrial Engineering UPH has again got an achievement. The team won the 3rd place in The 13th LKTI (Lomba Keilmuan Teknik Industri).
LKTI is the biggest annual national industrial engineering competition held by IMTI UI (Ikatan Mahasiswa Teknik Industri Universitas Indonesia). The 13th LKTI was held in Universitas Indonesia, from 3-7 March 2013 with “Delivering Fuel for the Nation through Optimization of Supply Chain Management” theme. This competition was attended by 39 universities (68 teams) in Indonesia.
At the beginning, those 68 teams competed in a preliminary stage about feasibility study of establishing new fuel depot of PT Pertamina (Persero). Then, 25 teams were selected to attend the competitions in Universitas Indonesia.

From UPH, Wibowo Kristianto (2011), Felicia Wibowo (2010), Mellisa Handryani Christine (2010), and Samuel Cahya Saputra (2010), has successfully passed the preliminary stage and come to Universitas Indonesia to compete with other 24 teams.
The 13th LKTI consists of 3 stages. The first stage was Industrial Engineering Quotient Test which was divided into 3 sessions: multiple choice questions, essay questions, and bidding questions. In this stage, UPH successfully achieved the 1st place. The second stage was Fuel Distribution Simulation. To narrow down from 25 teams to 5 teams, the first and second stage scores were accumulated. UPH successfully achieved the 2nd place and went to final stage. The other four teams which went to final were ITB, ITS 1, ITS 2, and UNPAR. The final stage was a real case study about fuel subsidy policy. To finish this stage, participants had to go to fuel depot of PT Pertamina (Persero) in Plumpang to observe and gather data, make an analysis, find a solution, and eventually present it to board of judges.
The winners of The 13th LKTI are ITS 1 at the 1st place, ITB at the 2nd place, UPH at the 3rd place, UNPAR at the 4th place, and ITS 2 at the 5th place. Congratulations to Industrial Engineering Universitas Pelita Harapan and the other winners!
