Congratulations! Once again, Industrial Engineering UPH got achievements! Two teams from Industrial Engineering UPH just won the 1st and 2nd place in EfiCn (Engineering Festival Competition) 2013!

EFiCn (Engineering Festival and Competition) 2013 is the biggest annual event, held by Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknik Industri Universitas Pelita Harapan) from 18th to 22nd of February 2013. The event which is held for the fifth time this year was attended by industrial engineering students from various universities in Indonesia, such as Universitas Pelita Harapan Karawaci, Institut Teknologi Telkom, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Kristen Krida Wacana, Universitas Diponegoro, Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Katholik Atma Jaya Jakarta, Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani, Universitas Katholik Parahyangan, and Universitas Pelita Harapan Surabaya.

One of the events of EfiCn 2013 was a national industrial engineering competition for university students. This competition consisted of three rounds (pre-eliminary, eliminary, and finale). The pre-eliminary round was divided into two sub-rounds, which were sub-round with multiple choice questions and sub- round with essay questions. After going through two stages of pre-eliminary sub- rounds, the number of participants was narrowed down from 24 teams to 12 teams. These 12 teams would then have to compete in eliminary round (cerdas cermat competition). From this eliminary round, only five teams went through to the final round and they were UPH 1, UPH 2, UAJ, UI 2, and ITB 3. In the final round, the had to do a field research at PT Hafele Indotama, identify the problem in its warehousing system, and find a solution for that. Those teams then had to make a paper containing the solution analysis they had made, based on the field research, and finally present it in front of judges.

After four days of competition, the winners were finally anounced! UPH 1 won the 1st place, UPH 2 won the 2nd place, UAJ won the 3rd place, UI 2 won the 4th place, and ITB 3 won the 5th place. Congratulations to all of the winners and keep developing Indonesia’s industries!
